2- gingy is still in its nightly phase.. CM7 has no official release for HD2 as yet so that what ur seeing is only a nightly rom
Yea true. I think I might just buy ahd2 that already has froyo on it.

u dont need to you know, just buy a HD2 with windows and put android on it urself.. its not hard at all!! anyway, right now im learning how to make my own themes by editing the framework.res.apk file

what i like about this phone is that everything is editable unlike the desire and other builds with s-off enabled. will soon post pics

anyway, i jus got a SGS captivate for my cousin - she got the phone and now she barely use it so i now using it along wid ma HD2.. so guess what that means? COMPARISON!!!

ok, i got the SGS, loaded lagfix, GPSfix, rooted and new kernel loaded and OC'd it. its a pretty decent phone, but doesnt have as much free memory as the HD2 running NANDroid. i get about 183MB free with little or no running services while the HD2 is pushing 254MB extra with K9, FolderOrganizer, FancyWidget, SystemInfo, Pricebook, Facebook and google BGS.

the SGS moves a bit faster and though through loading the app menu and after startup but bare in mind ma phone has 127 Apps loaded on it in comparison to the 35 apps on the SGS. screen is smaller but better on the SGS (16M looks nice) but the HD2's screen is bigger, in my book bigger is better . camera quality on the SGS is amazing, but to me without flash suffers the limitation of being a "daytime" camera. i love how the internal memory is set up on the SGS. it uses an internal SD card for the 16GB of space which is accessible from recovery. however, the problem im having is that its hard to access .zip files from the external cards in recovery.

to me the system of the SGS seems a bit more fragile than the HD2- additionally, some roms can only be loaded through download mode which i just learned about - bricked it last night just buy loading a rom and forgetting that some roms dont support lagfix+voodoo so i couldnt even get back to recovery mode so i had to unroot and re-root it. kinda sux as well that there are no roms with 0 problems. i've wanted an MIUI for the captivate but it seems that the only one there has alot of flaws. but all in time i suppose (i hope)

all in all, the SGS is a great phone, sleek and stylish with a great looking screen. but when it comes to performance, the HD2 is slightly superior. through all the problems i had with all the fixes that needed 2 be applied and the instability of 70% of available roms which is kinda funny because the HD2 doesnt even have droid on as native! anyway, will install some games on it later on and give it a real stress test

cant bother lol, the focus was simply to show individuals how good android is on the HD2 by comparing it to one of the best android phones of 2010

EDIT:- i'll make a thread later to show a video comparison
