Dell warranty
I'm not advertising for Dell (at least not yet ;D), but I went to their customer seminar today and thought that I'd share with you one point which I found interesting/exciting. They said that machines sold by Dell to the Jamaican market carry a 3 year ONSITE warranty. I couldn't believe this so I had to get it confirmed. The reason that I'm sharing this is that I was always under the impression that the warranty was 1st year onsite and years 2 & 3 were parts only shipped to customer.

Re:Dell warranty
There's also this godsend called completecare, were they keep giving you laptops for the rest of your natural life for the price you'd pay for shipping.

Re:Dell warranty
Here's a clarification regarding the Dell warranty period. The 3 years onsite warranty comes standard with the Optiplex line while the Dimension line comes standard with 1 year onsite. You can get the 3 year onsite with the Dimension line as an option.

My $0.02
Option or not I believe Dell has the best warranty and parts replacement program I have experienced... even two days before the warranty expires...
