    I thought the lasers that cut metals (to make power saw blades) and cut stripes of metals for circuit boards could be seen....

    You see the reflection of the laser cuz of light reflecting from dust or w/e in the air. If the beam has nothing to reflect off its invisible to everybody.

    there are some types of lasers the emit visible light. I think only green lasers will emit a visible spectrum.

    Check out this video:



    The higher the power the more visible the beam. you should be able to see a 300mW bean in bright light.

    Hmmmm, zapping bugs with a laser......so when they build an immunity we'll have SUPER BUGS....opps, we already do, the're called Members Of Parliment.
