    Default Does the Storm 2 (9520,9550) work on Claro 3g?

    i want to know this because im interested in buying either and my storm (9530) not cutting it anymore lol and i refuse to switch to another phone unless its 3g i know it says that the band for storm 2 is also 2100 but is there a chance it will work?

    no it will not work
    the 3g signal for both LIME and Claro is 850mhz

    u will however get up to EDGE on any of the 3 networks

    this is frustrating. is there any network apart from Verizon that the Storm 2 can get 3g coverage??

    t-mobile is ur next safe bet...but not here in Jamdown

    An alliance member here called hv_thugg says that the 9520 can work on 3G out here. I personally don't know how that can be. PM him for more info.

    I agree. It's sad that most phones are designed to be carrier specific in respect to features and functionality. Personally I would search the net e.g. Youtube or metcafe as I am sure there must be a software work-a-round to fix this issue
