    When buying a replacement power supply you need to consider several factors. One of the considerations is the form factor. The major form factors are AT, ATX, and ATX12V. The AT form factor uses two separate connectors known as the P8 and P9 connectors. The ATX form factor uses a single 20 pin connector. The ATX12V uses one of two arrangements. The first is a single 20 pin connector and a separate 4 pin connector. The other version of ATX12V is a single 24 pin connector. In addition to the form factor and having the correct connector, you need to ensure the power supply will meet or exceed your wattage requirement. It is recommended that you choose a power supply with a greater wattage than you need. This will ensure that you always have enough power. If you plan to upgrade components in the future, you may wish to greatly exceed your needs in preparation for future upgrades.

    Correct Option(s):

    a) Ensure it is the proper form factor.
    c) Ensure it has more than a 200 watt rating.
    d) Ensure it has the proper power connection for your motherboard.

    Incorrect Option(s):

    b) Ensure it has a 190 watt rating. - You should always select a power supply that exceeds your current needs. In this example our computer needs at least a 200 watt power supply to run the system under a normal load.
