    Default Local ISPs

    Alrite. Common sense seh if u dont kno something u ask.
    Logic sez the more sources u get the more sure ur answer. so im asking.

    1. How many local isps are there that are capable of providing static ip addresses?
    2. What are the upload speeds like?
    3. What are the prices on their packages?
    4. What are their individual TOS like?
    5. How reputable are they, and what of their customer support?
    6. Are there any locally run/managed hosting companies? Meaning i can walk into their office and look at a physical server and see a site running on it.
      EDIT:-
    7. anyone kno wat r the requirements to get an telecom licence or the requirements u hav to meet to offer isp services?

    lol.. nope.. no homework.
    those days long done. is a personal project.

    had called flow from b4, the prices theyre chargin is ridiculous honestly, and is not even for a static ip.
    impression i get from talkin to the rep is u get less than the home packages offer, but for a greater cost.
    goin to call up lime l8r and see how thier DIA packages look.

    thanx for your input ppl. still open to suggestions tho.

    C'mon then, tell us the price that they quoted you for business DIA with static IP please? We all know FLOW's pricing for residential DIA with dynamic IP.

    Unfortunately theres no articles, but a DIA, is not the same as cable connection. (what flow offers for even their residential and "commercial" package). use that word loosely because flow does hav dia, the rep jus dont kno.

    with DIA u r garaunteed a certain bandwidth, uptime, and a static ip address. this i kno becuase i already hav access to a frame-relay.

    as requested. the "commercial" package, as the rep told me yesterday...
    5mb down, 1mb up -> US$39.95
    10mb down, 1.5mb up -> US$59.95
    15mb down, 2mb up -> US$89.95
    All those are static IP, its US$50 extra per month for a static IP Address.
    Down time -> a rebate if you are without service for 3 days or more...

    That no sound bad. mi know if it was lime then you would have to be multiplying those prices.
