It's plug and play with Hikvision cameras, it should work with Axis and Dahua IP cams too.

Initially I wanted to re use my existing core i5 2500k but I had to switch because I couldn`t find a Mini ITX mobo with 6 Sata ports

I had it for almost 2 years now.

    It has 2x Intel Xeon E5430 and 16GB DDR2.

It is the heart of my datacenter/web server/database server . Added a usb 3.0 pcie card. Nothing fancy but still powerful for the use. I am wondering how the i5 would stack up.

    Got this last Friday

    Pros:
Long battery life (~5hrs moderate use)
    Decent GPU
    Fast but efficient i5
    Ram Expandable to 32gb
Has M.2 (up to 80mm) and can accommodate 2 sata III drives
    Backlit full keyboard
    Brushed Aluminium finish
    Fan is quiet under load
    1080p MATTE screen

    Cons:
SCREEN SUCKS, 50% sRGB gamut - Viewing angles are terrible, biased towards reds, lacks contrast
    Touchpad feels "hollow"
    Aluminium scratches easily

    ** Paid 389$ refurb
