What would really be funny is if "the new guy" was actually a hiring manager from a large multinational company and was just doing a test on the responses in the forum. People forget that online everyone can pretend to be anyone. Instantly those members would have just lost a job opportunity.

    same thing....

Only thing i would say is to post this in the "general discussion" section and title it more towards the questions, like "What are your IT skills" or something to that effect. no call the guy dumb?! what are you 8 years old?

Could have just directed the guy to the threads but no have to call him post foolishness??

My gosh, no wonder IT so backward inna Jamaica, because we jus DUNCE!!!!

When I saw this post I was so enthusiastic to see all the different types of skills that my fellow Jamaicans posses... but the fight gainst spirit jus did haffi kik in. I doubt that would happen if this website was techjapan.com, no wonder we are still third world.

This could be a fine thread to look for business partnerships with... *sigh* but I guess I am just weird and stupid to think that big.

Anyways if anyone is interested in ressurecting this thread for what it is supposed to be just list your skills. I try and start it.

... or maybe MIT or Cambridge
These languages are used in top schools to simplyfy the comprehension of certain programming concepts like polymorphism, ADTs and higher order functions. The languages are quick to learn so you focus more on problem solving.

I am not surprised the post got the response it did. What are you talking about, with "fight gainst" and third world? The truth of the matter is that the post was not very well thought out. No introduction, no explanation, he didn't even give his own information to start things off (like you did). Most people just ignored the post, and few people made fun of it. I am pretty sure the reaction would be pretty much the same anywhere in the world.

By the way, if you want to look for business partnerships, I think Facebook or Linkedin would be better bets than a forum.
