wasn't always that much, they updated it to include alot of new things. its even split up into different support fields, Telecom, Helpdesk, Wireless ect.
I payed 115 I believe for mine, this was back when the dollar was at 35 or so

the exam i took was retired on March 31 2000, i took the exam like on the 29-30th. after that the exam was changed to a new sylibus
