    What kind of HD controller is it using? I heard ATA100 and below won't recognize drive sizes above that.... Fix it by getting a new mobo or installing a HD controller that supports that HD size...

    Problem was resolved looooooooooong time. See Fire Man Bla@ze for correct answer.

    Windows 2000 Does not have native 48 bit LBA Translation enabled, you have manually add it.

    I was thinking that the rest of the space would show up as 'unallocated space' and is just to create/add the rest as a new partition.

    We didn't want another partition, but no it doesn't didn't show up, I resolved it. I do like throwing out stuff I come across though, cause you can never know to much.
