I know its possible for the firewall to hit the net off your pc system but can the firewall actually shut it down?

I have a modem that i have using with my DSL system from CW and it a give me ends a hell all a shut down and thing. I think it repair time. Or rather exchange.

Sounds like he is saying his firewall is shutting down his system.

Something similar happened to me when I tried to play some games when I first got my Geforce card. When I try to run the game the PC restarts. The prob was the firewall so all I had to do was to add the game to the firewall and deny it internet access.

Anyhow explain your prob a bit more so we fully understand.
