    Default New build Suggestions

Hello guys 👋🏽. So um, I haven?t been around for about 10 years. Wow it?s been so long.

I?ve been out of the game all that time so I have no idea what?s happening on the field.

$1500 USD build. AMD or Intel? Nvidia or AMD? I?m a AMD fanboy 😅

Is Newegg still the place to shop?

    Lemme know

If you can buy from there - do it. Still though, you should shop around and see.

From my experience, the field is still about the same.

Most things run better on Intel/nVidia.

AMD is doing exceptionally well - so you can go that route if you like. Some games and apps just work better on the other platform. IMO - that's corporate garbage - where some kickbacks or other perks are there for supporting one camp versus another. Some of this came out in some games in the past - you know, where nVidia cards would have something to render water, and some games would have water that's not visible on the screen still rendering - causing ATI/AMD cards to work like crap. Things like that.

Video editing? Intel/nVidia. Gaming? AMD. Server? AMD Epyc. Lots of providers are moving to that platform.

I love AMD as well, but the facts are still there - most things work better on Intel/nVidia. Not always because it's better.
Knowing the solution doesn't mean knowing the method. Yet answering correctly and regurgitation are considered "learning" and "knowledge".

Cool runnings. Some gaming and my daughter may wanna do some video editing, she?s into that media art field thingy.

Most of it if I?m being honest is the nostalgia of it. I love tech but just been out of it for a while.

    Depends as Khat said.
I would say stay away from Intel 13th and 14th Gen as they have manufacturing and stability issues. They pushed the design too hard trying to keep up with AMD.

I'm not really a intel/Nvidia fan boy but I have only used them ever since my first PC build and with the exception of one Nvidia GPU failing on me because fan died on it I haven't any issues since. Did a major upgrade about 2-3 years ago to the build in my sig and must say it's a solid budget build for 1440p gaming. Ray tracing and DLSS technology is pretty good and right now Nvidia is the way to go since your budget seems like it can afford it. It would go well with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D or RYZEN 7 9800X3D as those are the ones I see top reviewers on Youtube recommend for gaming and productivity alike.

You can use pcpartpicker's website to plan your build and give you and us an idea of what you want to build.
