Default Router/Modem that flow uses - Considering to switch from Digicel (re cost)

    Good day:

I'm thinking of switching from Digicel to flow re cost. That is, the yaad and road would be cheaper for me overall.

For the router/modems that they have, does it allow you to but the router in bridge mode so I can run my own router and avoid a double nat situation? I am currently planning out my home network and I plan to get IP cameras, network storage etc so I need a decent router and switch.

    I'm in Kingston as well.

I haven't tested it yet but there is an option to select bridge mode in the advanced menu.

I know persons that use it in bridged mode quite fine - so it should do what you need. Just do a backup of the settings beforehand.

Stick with Digicel. Flow has no regard for its customers. You cannot reach a customer service agent by calling 100; you will have to visit a store and wait in long lines each time.

Thanks for this. Funny thing is, I actually ended up with Digicel because when I moved to Kingston the flow rep rescheduled the installation twice and I had to call them to find out there are not coming again.

Looking like I probably stay with Digicel then, to be honest the service is very reliable with symmetrical upload/download speeds. Hopefully when I get the IP cameras and such I won't have issues but we'll see.
