    Default Hub TV

Has anyone tried FLOW's new service Hub TV?

Interested if it is worth the installation?

Flow technician installed Hub TV today. The system is simply an Andriod box with an application that streams the Flow TV lineup. The box can be connected via ethernet or wifi.

But what about the apps that you can install? It can't simply just to stream Flow TV lineup.

It comes installed with Netflix, HBO Max, Disney plus and Prime Video. It's locked to FLOW network so using it on Digicel WiFi or data the cable won't work, not sure if the steaming apps will work on other WiFi networks with the Hub TV box.

You get limited access to Andriod apps. Not all are available to be installed.

The device comes with a Tivo Stream 4K remote control.

So they finally catching up the market because thats what all the providers do now around the world. Digicel's box from 2016 runs a locked down unofficial Android version with an IPTV app for Digicel programming. The main difference here is that this is official Android so it gets Netflix, etc.

Works out being cheaper for FLOW to deploy and maintain and should be an overall better experience.

Hub TV - does anyone have it connected via ethernet, does the Hub box have to be in the same network as the cable modem? I have another router internally that my devices are behind, and wondering if the Hub box would work from this internal network. The 4K from the Hub box looking attractive.

The HUB TV must be connected to the same network that the Flow service is registered to. It will not function on a different network (e.g., a phone hotspot).
