Don't know if my house was the issue... Got upgraded to 120mbps but was topping out at 90/100 ... Was on 2.4ghz wifi band, switched to 5ghz and boom, getting 120down/50up now all day...
I got the upgrade in November, but since Feb 1 was mentioned, I checked. No additional increase for me.
Here's a quick thing with the standards and possibly speeds. Basic listing that is.
- WiFi-1 - Legacy 802.11 - 2Mbps
- WiFi-2 - 802.11b - 11Mbps
- WiFi-3 - 802.11a & g - 54Mbps
- WiFi-4 - 802.11n - 450Mbps - supports 5GHz
- WiFi-5 - 802.11ac - up to 1.73Gbps - supports 5GHz
- WiFi-6 - 802.11ax - up to 2.4Gbps - supports 5GHz
Knowing the solution doesn't mean knowing the method. Yet answering correctly and regurgitation are considered "learning" and "knowledge".
