Prisoners hack WiFi, government boosting security

National Security Minister Robert Montague says the ministry is moving to increase security at the island’s correctional facilities after prisoners at a penal institution hacked a WiFi connection and accessed the Internet.

Montague did not identify the prison.

However, he says the ministry is concerned about the development which poses serious a security breach.

More like embarrassing, really embarrassing. Govt couldn't secure wifi in a prison, how are they expected to secure people's data in the public.

People in prisons make calls and texts to their friends and relatives on the outside. People get moved in and out of the prisons too depending on how influential they are. The word "hack" is used loosely, but the fact still remains that prison security isn't what it should be in any place.

We all know 1 of 2 things happened in this apparent "hack" - they used the default 'admin/admin' username and password, or they got the username and password from someone.
