    Default Bios update

i have an issue with my cpu voltages and temps they are too high! i was told that i bios update would solve my high voltages which in turn would solve my temps.on one issue though with the newest bios folder for the z97a gaming 7 mother it has three versions of the one file and the last file is missing a component.what should i do? and also my bios buzzer isn't working.

If you download the flash file from the manufacturer website nothing should be missing.

How do you know they are too high? What are your temps? Do you have an aftermarket cooler?

rendering at a 100% load it would hit 90c on cryorig h7 cooler it aint the best but jeez 90c! it's at stock clocks also and the voltage would go up to 1.39 volts

core voltage is normal, u need to look more into cooling, when last did you apply thermal compound? also 90c is still within safe temps.

90c? That is high for a CPU.

I am surprised the pc even stays on at that temp. I thought the threshold was lower.

From what I am reading the bios for the i7 4790k sets the voltage way higher than needed for some reason.

    Lower it to 1.2v.

That cooler is clearly terribad also. Get a better cooler.

But drop your voltage first and see. Your temp shouldn't be over 60c.

Tjmax for almost every intel cpu is 100-105c so while 90c is close, its still safe. U right pezz afterwards i researched the cooler and its figures are pretty weak,

Use AS5 for thermal paste, never had bad reviews from anyone and ive generally gotten temps lower by 5-10c depending on the config i use it on

Oh ok didn't know that. AMD cpu wouldn't even boot passed 65C. Load my cpu is in the low 50s though
