Which edition of Windows 10 you have?
I have professional edition and i choose when to download and also install my update.

I have Pro. I don't have an option to choose when to download. Only option is to when to install.

You can also use the Group Policy to turn off updates automatically as well, think Group policy only works for Professional, Enterprise, and Education.

Yeah, but going into group policy to turn it on/off takes more time to do, than going into services and turning it on/off. It's cool.

In group policy there is an option to select notify when to download and also install.
Its a one time operation, better that than to turn on/off service each time.

I just strongly believe I should be the one in control of my computer and not some corporation thousands of miles away. I believe I should be in control of the information I share with them, and not them choosing what information they need from me.
And whatever it takes to keep me in control, I'll do it.

It does for me. Just like it shows in the picture on that page you linked. Make sure you followed the instructions it has using group policy.

Registry method worked. There was an option during setup that asked who owned the computer me or an organization. Maybe that affected group policies.
