    Default Can I install windows programs on windows phone 8?

    I have been wondering... If I get a windows phone, can I install the same programs that I can install on my PC ????

    no you cannot. sorry, phones are not computers. All you can do on the windows phone is watch videos and play angry birds all day. There is word and excel but they are not as feature rich as on a desktop computer. Plus the screen is very small.

    I don't think that M20 knows that Windows phones use ARM (SoC) processors and as such the applications have to be compiled differently.

    Sad... Not even RT can install windows program and they have a desktop.

    There are non ideal options. You can remote into a desktop with your preferred non RT applications. Bandwidth be damned.
    Unable to find the article ATM, but I read somewhere that a virtual machine is being designed to run on the RT platform to allow for application support.

    If you get a Windows Phone, treat it as an Android one in the sense that you can only run "apps" and not general PC software on it.
