Thirteen years ago, a neighbour tried to start a twisted pair meshnet. We were doing pre-alpha and he died of complications from sickle cell anaemia. Eight years ago another neighbour wanted to start one wirelessly. He was financially-advantaged; I am always financially-challenged.
It seems embedded in some personalities to be lead and not to lead. So, none of those projects came to fruition.
I ask, is there anyone interested in creating a network of services on the island (in case we get embargoed or isolated from the international scene)? I know JNAP tried it. Were there any others?
