Default Respawn: TitanFall Needs Cloud. XB1 > PC Version

When asked if Xbox One’s cloud computing capabilities would help TitaFall, Respawn developers had this to say:

“You couldn’t make this game without having that kind of dedicated server support.”

Not only that, but since Respawn won’t be using the Xbox cloud on the PC version of TitanFall they say the PC version won’t be as good as Xbox One version. They said:

“We won’t get all the nice-ities on PCs that you get on Xbox One. There will be some re-engineering things.”

Basically Respawn says that the game will be best on Xbox One because of the cloud. Since the game is an online title it makes sense that they’d use this feature so much since players will need internet to use the game anyway.

Rubbish. if you can do it on xb1 you can setup the architecture to do it on PC (and ps4). More marketing. I heard them once talking about using the cloud for bots, but that really doesn't say much. These things are not new which makes me wonder what exactly they are talking about. Specifics are needed

Anyway, apparently it isn't exclusive after all and this is great for PC gamers. I thought it was coming on xbone only but if its coming to PC that would easily be the better option.

    Found it:
Titanfall's structure and 'cloud computing' on Xbox One explained

Essentially, cloud computing helps matchmaking, allowing dedicated servers to be spun up on a moment's notice to handle multiplayer matches and find you the most local option when searching for a game. McCandlish also answers other burning questions – like what exactly powers these titan mechs.
    pfffff

PC version might have server browsers and less ideal matchmaking then. Dedicated servers for games is their .... cloud powah.. oh dear. So what PC had before the console plague (p2p cod) is now a wonderful feature.

    THere's more here:

Dedicated servers doing what dedicated servers do and have been doing. AI bots, physics in multiplayer done on server and communicated to all clients. Hope nobody gets stupid and tries to use the cloud for single player games. The console is supposed to have the power for that.

Game looks like a mish mash of Mechwarrier, StarHawk, killzone and every multiplayer shooter since 2010. I am not surprised that are going to try to sell it to as many people as possible. as well as the Xbone.
