HTML 5 .H264 hardware encoded phones exist that use way less power for media content that is encapsulated as MP4 and this was even before the iPhone hatched from Apples
backside.
Apple never used it because Steve didn't like it ... because it would grind the original iPhone (600Mhz) to its knees... and they have a long beef with Adobe anyway.
It ran on my pre iPhone Nokia ... but wow it made the phone HOT !!!
