Question HTC Wildfire S or SG Ace?

Ok guys!..... Am getting me an Android mobile for the 1st time and I want to hit the mark with this 1st purchase of low cost packed with punches.

I've gone through all the Androids available on Earth and the only 2 I see that hit the sweet spot with my budget (US $300-400) are the HTC Wildfire S and the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830.

I've been baffling with the decision to choose but I want to go for the SG ACE S5830 for the following reasons:

*Even though the HTC is more flexible on 3G network. The bands that the SG Ace covers will do just right for me.

*The SG Ace has a slightly vertically wider screen with a more colorful display.

*The SG Ace has DNSe sound enhancement which I appreciate as I love my music.

*The SG Ace has a 5Mp camera with face and smile detection.

*The SG Ace comes with Android OS v2.2 (Froyo) but it's upgradeable to v2.3 (Gingerbread) [nice! ]

*The SG Ace sports a 800Mhz ARM 11 CPU and a Adreno 200 GPU while the HTC Widfire S clock @ 600Mhz (big plus for SG Ace )

*The SG Ace battery almost doubled the HTC Wildfire S hours on talk time (11hrs- 2G, 6.5hrs- 3G on SG Ace and 7hrs 10min- 2G, 5hrs 50min- 3G on the HTC Wildfire)

*The HTC Wildfire S going for US $375 while the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 going for US $302

What you guys think? Bang for Bucks or a miss?

Please give other recommendations if you think you can best these comparisons and give an indication of the pricing. Thanks!

PS--> Give recommendations/ suggestions before May 31. Thanks!

100% agree if you have 300-400 to burn you can get much better phones. if you really need an answer for the 2 above I am an HTC new fan but samsung ace is better than wildfire.

Well! I've thought about the Captivate but when I look at the price tag. I staggered. I could get the SG Ace for $302 clocking @800MHz, less internal storage that can be compensated with SD cards, same camera, later version of Android OS and a FM radio (which the Captivate lacks). That is enough to push me on the SG Ace side when I see the additional $197 I'd have to churn out of my pockets to get the Captivate.

While the HTC Inspire 4G is a nice handset with a 1Ghz snapdragon CPU with Adreno GPU and a 8Mp camera. I maintain that I don't want to spend so much money on a phone I might loose in a few months or so...... I really think the HTC Inspire is worth it but I would like to stick to my budget of $300-$400.

I'm not buying on eBay as I don't have the resources to do so but the phone will be bought in China by now and the last of this month and will be carried here free of cost (to both me and the person carrying it). The person says HTCs over there are between 1600 yuan to 4000 yuan. 6.50 yuan = US $1. So I budgeted to buy a 1950 yuan to 2600 yuan phone.

I see! ..... I like the HTC Desire Z (one with physical QWERTY keypad) though but the prices are hurdles in my way.

Personally I just thought the Wildfire models where pretty decent for the price......
