University of Phoenix is a traditional campus based University and they are accredited for the degrees they offer. They choose to make their courses available to the world by offering online courses and people are looking down on them, how shallow!
There is nothing wrong with their degree program so if that is an option you choose to pursue then by all means do it. By the way the degree does not say that it was acquired online so there is nothing for anyone to be ashamed about.
Certifications will always expire but a degree does not. Degree first, cert later or both at the same time if possible.
agreed, I saw the course content and it was pretty extensive and had varying difficulty, if its online or in class it functions just the same, you have assignments to hand in group work to do and presentations to submit.
Any employer who only sees a "University of Phoenix" and dismisses it shouldn't be conducting interviews. its like saying if someone is jewish so don't hire them. I would prefer to get a degree from a University that is internationally known than one that just pop up and you have people questioning there accreditation
