Okay so i have replaced the Ryzen 1700 with the 1600 and changed the SSD as well. I don't think the performance gain of the 1700 over the 1600 is worth $100 .

The 250gb sata is huge boost for fast booting and gaming but it full up very quickly. Game data don't like the idea of residing on a drive other than drive c.

    Why you downgrade your rig?

You will never see the difference between the SSD's unless you run a benchmark. You will definitely see the different between 12 and 16 threads in many programs.

Spend on what makes a difference.

lol i guess its because i didn't see that big of a difference on the benchmarks between them but i still have a few months to make up my mind so ill just keep watching some reviews and make a decision in August. But would you reccomend the 1700 or 1700X?

It's all up to you and your budget, But honestly i would stick with the 1700...more cores more threads and everything (programs and games) these days is leading towards using more cores and threads. Only thing i would change is maybe using a M.2 drive, I think i might get one for myself when money start run again.

I've decided to keep the 1700 and go with an m2 drive but the question now is do i buy a 32 inch tv to use as a monitor or just buy a dedicated monitor......

where in Jamaica can i get a decent monitor to buy if i decide to go that route
