Did you remove norton completely? using the uninstaller tool and rebooted. norton is known to give problems whenever you are installing another AV
The BSOD issue is related to the NDIS ASUS driver (WinpkFilter LightWeight Filter), which prevents the installation of some Bitdefender files.
As a workaround for this situation, we recommend uninstalling the ASUS AI Suite software and then installing Bitdefender. The installation process should run smoothly.
There after you can install the ASUS AI suite there after.
I haven't used bitdefender for more than 3 years now, I'm using a 5 year Kaspersky license from my company.
However its very effective, and isn't user dependent. Most time you wont even know when its working.
Its kinda heavy but for 4 year old laptop to systems today. it should run smoothly without showing any slow down of activities on your system.
