I uploaded an album of the unboxing on Flickr, y'all can check it out. Some pics low quality as they were taken with a phone.

Its working out really well man, really happy with the purchase. Once I got rid of the bloatware it runs silky smooth and its portable enough.

Think Im gonna test Windows 7 on it soon.

Damn damn. Decision day. I was leaning towards this dell:
    https://ecomm2.dell.com/dellstore/ba...ecomm@dell.com

(it's a studio xps 16, also brought to my attention by wisdom!), but then I found out that the Sony FW390 was out... which... I understand... is basically the 290 series but a bit cheaper w/ the same specs:
    https://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs...derItemDisplay

(if that doesn't work, this one should:

But man... one thing that kinda ticks me off about sony is that you can't see your built-in-cam resolution, for example (i don't even see where it tells me that the computer has one), or if the speakers have a built in subwoofer. Also... knowing I coulda gotten a free 150$ value digital photo frame if I bought it 2 weeks ago kinda irks me as well... (current promos are lame).

You bought an 18.4" laptop for a woman?

For most men such HUGE laptops are a problem...what will your wife think?

I can't get into these larger laptops...but you ought to know her taste/desires...after all you married her right?
