There needs to be a standard for camera comparisons I think on auto and calibrated as well as in different monitors or printed in true pixels, if that even makes sense
DWL at part in bold... really now. That is how you tell how pics really look. You view them on a bigger screen.

If you say the pics look the same as on your tv its only three things.

    You eyes need checking.

Or your Note screen is bad. TVs are naturally bad at displaying stills (not dissing your tv, look at a pc monitor and you will see).

Or you have an awesome tv lol.

Different monitors dont really matter if pic A looks better than pic B on a said monitor it will always look better on any other monitor.

The size of the monitor is what matter the most and the resolution. Smaller the monitor the more it hides flaws.

Since I got the Note 4 I am able to see how bad the quality of images are that people upload on facebook.
It doesnt look as bad on my Note 2 screen and looks ok on my 5s screen. Reason being the screens are smaller and hides the flaws.

Printing meh... Monitors have way more colors than any printer out there.

Well yeah my TV is pretty awesome, lol, but I get your points, but still think these online comparisons can be miss leading as one might think the iphone 6 camera is crap when it can indeed take wonderful shots

What I wonder about is why they don't put better cameras in the tablets...

No one is saying the iPhone camera is crap. People would be crazy to say that.

I expect the iPhone camera to have the edge in low light pics.

Above is what i said.... don't talk crap man.. I never said nothing of the sort..

I never at no point said the 6+ was best at color accuracy..
All I said was that Samsung tends to pump up contrast and saturation on their pics to make it look more vivid which allot of people like.

Then again.. could never me you a talk, cause I fail to believe your interpretation of things are so crappy...

You know... whenever you talk about vivid and contrast I have to wonder.

Sounds like you are talking about the amoled screen or the iPhone camera. Ever since iPhone 4 apple is the one that been applying the most contrast to the photos the camera takes.

And I never once mentioned anything is crappy. Well except former nexus cameras.

I'm talking about looking at the pics on an external source.. not the phone screen...
All pics will look nice and punchy on your phones screen... Look at most phone pics on an external source and they will look more true to life as far as colors go..

Not the case with Samsung pics, matter a fact looking at most of Samsung pics on an external source they look extra vivid & punchy..
S5/Note4 Pics on my TV look all wrong.. and my TV is correctly calibrated.. 6+ Pics look far better.

Beats me why there needs to be camera comparison in this day and age, no matter what modern phone you have your pics gonna look good. Most people stop buy phone becasue of cam quality now.

There needs to be comparison because there is competition. One is always better than the other. If it wasn't for comparison I wouldn't know the nexus 6 camera is now up to standard.

You didn't care you wouldn't be "comparing" and trying to mislead lol.

And I won't be getting back into waste argument with you.

From the pics posted in the first post. It is clear that the image by the iphone looks better than the one produced by the Nexus 6. I guess some people need to get their eyes tested smh.

    Revisiting this thread....

Winner: Samsung Galaxy Note 4. A 16:9 camera fits better on modern screens (phones, tablets, laptops, TVs, almost everything is widescreen), but more importantly the Galaxy Note 4 photos offer a significant advantage when it comes to resolved detail.
The Apple iPhone 6 Plus takes good-looking photos, especially considering the camera has changed little since the iPhone 5. Still, it loses on the most important factor (resolved detail) and offers no tangible advantage in other aspects.

Winner: Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Its base dynamic range is wider and the HDR mode performs better.
The Apple iPhone 6 Plus did a respectable job and the Auto HDR mode is handy though the sensor is due for an upgrade.
