Not even low light mine works in.. and your face has to be too close to the screen for it to work..
Doesn't seem to work from regular viewing distance for me..

Same issue on Note4 so I just disable that crap...

Eye-scrolling is crap.. swipe to pan is crap.. crap crap crap

Only direct call makes sense to me.. and even that is slow as hell... it's faster I just press call. lol

Lol I must have a huge face then. What is regular viewing distance for you? Regular for me is below chest.

Trust me Smart stay is the best. When I use my Ipad or Win tab and always have to wake it up while reading.... The worst.

@gprs does the S5 allow you to switch to 3g only? try switch to 3g/2g only to see if you can extend the battery life a little more (works on BB OS10 ).
