Default Speaker on HTC Desire C has stoped working

I have a HTC Desire C with Jelly bean 4.1 which is in excellent condition, however after a few days the loud speaker has stopped working. Could this be a software issue or hardware? Need some advice before I pull this phone apart

Did you max out the volume pass the default? Speakers probably broke from the stress. Are you running a custom ROM? Try another one to see if it works again. Also try a factory reset.

If you're stock, this problem is likely hardware related, you Shouldve got a Samsung lol

You could try a phone repair store and see if a technician can try a thing BUT.... In order to get the speaker for your particular model, you might need to order it
