I still dont like the fact that it has to be paired with a blackberry before u can have the calender app and some other apps. I think all tablets should a calender so one can plot out his/her daily schedule

PlayBook has a huge disadvantage in the software department, says David Pogue from The New York Times:

Remember, the primary competition is an iPad — the same price, but much thinner, much bigger screen and a library of 300,000 apps. In that light, does it make sense to buy a fledgling tablet with no built-in e-mail or calendar, no cellular connection, no videochat, Skype, no Notes app, no GPS app, no videochat, no Pandora radio and no Angry Birds? You should also know that even now, only days before the PlayBook goes on sale April 19, the software is buggy and still undergoing feverish daily revision. And the all-important BlackBerry Bridge feature is still in beta testing. It’s missing important features, like the ability to view e-mail file attachments or click a link in an e-mail.
The part in bold has got to be a joke ryt?

An update is released everyday for it. even now while reviewers have it.

It's simple they want all Playbook owners to also own Blackberries ... well for now that is...

Is this like how apple wants ipad users to have a MAC or PC with iTunes ?

I see nothing wrong if the aim of the device is to function as an adjunct
    why not ?
Those who do not understand UNIX are doomed to reinvent it poorly.

I kinda like the playbook but i see ppl all over the web dissing it even tho some of it is true.

...the PlayBook can’t run any of the 27,000 BlackBerry apps. It will launch with only about 3,000 apps designed for tablets, compared with 65,000 tablet-optimized iPad apps.
They should have made it so it can run the apps that are already on ur Blackberries

problem with the reviewers is that they all do have that touch of Apple/Android/Anti-RIM bias.

only things i dont like about it so far is that the QNX OS seems extremely memory hungry, and the Playbook itself is damn tiny.

Im really not a fan of the 7" form factor.
