    Default D-Link or LinkSys???

Ok I already have a home PC repair Lab but I want to make it more professional. Me and Ropy were discussing this and we thought we would get some views on it. I want a KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) Switch to make the troubleshooting alot easier and extend the life of my computer part (unpluggin it everytime causes extra wear and tear).

So the Two switches being compared can all connect 4 PC's onto one monitor and they are:

Linksys ProConnect Compact KVM Switch PS2KVM4

    http://linksys.com/products/product....37&scid=45

Spec are in a PDF file [34KB] very small
    ftp://ftp.linksys.com/datasheet/ps2kvmds.pdf

    and

    D-Link DKVM-4

    ugly if you ask me!!!
    specs: http://www.dlink.com/products/Busine...SpecsTable.htm

Now there are many questions liek:

    Which is the better one?
Which Do I need for a small home repair lab?
and what do you guys think?

I chose LinkSys cuase its small, neat and very rugged. Plus it looks Stylish and according to the spec sheet it has the same features as the D-link and its cheaper. But i never owned one so I dunno but maybe you guys can enlighten me or even recommend a better one

personally, shouldnt make much difference. you just basically want to be able to recieve a box and be able to work on it.
if you tend to have more than one going eg. you are setting up OS on another then multi-port helps but really, the cheaper the better. your startup costs in business must be low as reasonably practical. dont over estimate that cool is better. be aware more of your budget and the practicality. trade em off.
    thats my hapenny worth. ;D

hey devnull, you say the Linksys is cheaper, same features and (IMHO) looks better ... so what's there to decide? ;D I've used neither, but on these 3 advantages, I'd go with Linksys. Besides, Linksys also has a good reputation.
