i saw that there was a school in downtown for a sysadmin position and some out in mobay and even this 1 place who's name i never will forget (maggoty) but its all the same.. tonnes of schools all over jamaica looking for I.T. guys. not sure if i mentioned this but on the day of my interview there were only two other people applying for the job at the same time. alot of people didnt bother because of the location or the pay was too low for them (not sure what them expecting from a ministry-run institution)

in terms of volunteering.. the best place to start is at PC repairs.. its relatively easy to get into and it gives u the hardware foundation u may need to boost ur career.. i would have volunteered in sales, but it seems women dominate that area -_-

If it is ridiculous for what he is doing he must be MIS/IT 1-2 maybe even MIS/IT 3 but if its ridiculous for what he think he is worth then it could be anything.

I do everything there minus the setting up servers from scratch, the only things I setup from scratch are clone (usually phsycally), branded machines and the laptops I'm also responsible for the backups running from 3 different physical locations, there is also research in regards to the implementation of new solutions yada, yada, yada my job description is roughly 1 and 1/2 of 8 1/2 sheet of paper so I basically do the roles of a I.T. Helpdesk, I.T. Technician, Jr. System Admin etc.... but I get paid less than a Desktop Specialist but I'm no where close to as decorated as you are there excuse for not paying me well is that I don't have the papers behind my name just the experience from working in computer laps and what not.
