We never know too much that we can't learn. Unfortunately most Jamaicans are about "hurry come up" and swatting than actually learning....

If you are looking for replacement for "windows" and "windows APPs" you will be disappointed. When using linux you will just have to adopt a different mind set. The minute you start comparing you will reformat your machine and go back to microsoft!

Why do you use Virtual DJ with Wine? Haven't you tried Mixxx. It's the open source alternative to Virtual DJ and it is in the Ubuntu repository.

For PS I can understand if someone is using it for professional purposes, otherwise Gimp should be looked at.

    Fair enough.

I am not great at either of them as well. I've barely used both (PS and Virtual DJ) in past. I have Mixxx installed though. It looks a lot like Virtual DJ. Feather-wise, a few DJs in the Ubuntu forum seem to think it's (Mixxx ) well capable. I couldn't confirm this, as along with Gimp, it is on my applications to learn list.

Let me know how you find it?

Thanks all of you for your kind suggestions. I was able to catch the hang of things pretty good after a few days.

That's great. It would be nice to hear how you're getting on using Linux.
