Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter

These two games where the two most popular fighting games in the 90s. I wanna know which 1 u guys think was the best fighting game during that period.

It's a really hard decision. I played little street fighter and a all the 90's Mortal Kombat series so I'd choose MK. (Games room fav.)

Hard decision for real, I think I'd go with MK for the variety of moves and especially the ability for the finishes

Street Fighter 2 was the better fighter without question. Smoother animation, deeper combat system, and much kewler fight sequences.

MK was a gimmic fighter - digitized graphics (choppy framerates) and novelty fatalities etc.

i'll say street fighter still. and bck have some very good points that i didn't think of.

but if you were to speak of the movie, definately mortal kombat.

Mortal Kombat HAnds down...MK2 was the most advanced fighting game of its time...
The gameplay, fighting moves and storyline has made it an epic fighting game, which lives on even today..

the streetfighter series hands down kicks mortal kombat's ***, why because sf is just more fun to me. Ryu & Ken could take on all themk characters. maybe i'm biased because i love the street fighter animes

Yeah you probably are a BIT bias. Street Fighter good but Ryu and Ken take on all the MK fighters, definately but how long they gone live?
