Hi I need you guys help.

I installed 2.1 eclair on my omnia II but when I restart it goes back to windows mobile then I have to do the process again.
How do I get it to stay?

what is the boot process? does it go to RAM or SD? if ram then that explains alot - not sure what can be done about that but wait for another release

I fixed it. It boots form sd.
I am now dual booting . I now love my omnia

It works ok. I didnt get the 2d/3d drivers to work. angry birds crashes when I try to run it.
This is the beta1 2.1 so this is expected.

I didnt do it right. I didnt even format my sd card lol.

Other than what i said above it works great. Just waiting on froyo or updated eclair.
Which version of android do you have on your hd2?

my OS is in my signature, CM6.1.1 which is froyo 2.2.1. its probably the best emulation i have ever seen.. everything works perfectly down to fm radio, wifi, GPS.. everything! and it boots from NAND RAM instead of SD so its faster and more efficient. i got clockwork recovery on my SDCard so i can make a nand backup effortlessly

honestly, i didn expect it to work this well but it works far better than most native android phones! underclocked, if i do a quadrant test it scores 4425 which is better than even the samsung vibrant and ALMOST as good as a nexus one (just 100 points) but when overclocked - i get 4952! i suggest to anyone who is considering getting an HD2 to go ahead and try it! its alot better than a good chunk of the others!!

i am gonna try to get a hd2. specs are awesome should be able to get one for $300

you should.. just make sure that its the TMOUS version and not the EU because the EU has less storage and memory which in turn requires more partitions from the SD

you should go NAND over SD. DFT did alot of work into getting AOSP to work on NAND and it works beautifully! some things at the beginning may not work but with some effort - all will work.. additionally, there are TONNES of roms available for HD2.. so if you want to go meego, or you want to try win7 or even UBUNTU you can load it up and if u wish, drop em and go right back to android.. my ute - if u get the HD2, nah go wah nuttin fa d nex 2 or 3 years
