Problem with Oracle8i personal edition

yeh thank you very much ... i actually have Oracle 10i, and in the process of thoroughly reading though the installation notes .... i just wanted to know if it would have been possible for me to carry it home ...

yes i go to uwi. i ended up not using the oracle but I know you can set mysql to either operate as a full server (take as much resources as it wants) or development machine where it uses as little as possible.

yeah I always wondered how they moved from 8i -> 9i -> 10g
