i had 4GB of ram in my machine one and i never used pass 3GB, so i would NOT recommend anything above 4GB, unless u want to waste money for bragging rights...i would say get rid of those 1.6Ghz memory and go for the 2Ghz as the mainboard very much WANTS it plus still remain dual channel mode for increase bandwidth.

everything else for ur build seems kool to me

u can probly get a 64GB SSD for ur Operating System to go on only, if ur pocket can stretch that far

    well for 2 reasons

    1. The discounts online might not be as drastic, meaning I dont think it will go down by $100.

    2. Availability, I think alot of people are waiting for the floodgates to open on the Wed morning and I can imagine that much of my build namely the processor and video card might go out of stock

and an added reason if i wait until wed my system won;t arrive in time to be taken down

were you on a 32bit OS? odds are it only saw a little over 3GB anyway...

i say 8 gigs cause his slots take 4GB each. Might as well max 2 so you dont have to ditch ram to upgrade if you want to touch 16GB. Just how I think still. Get a 64bit OS and you can enjoy all 8GB

make the most where you can.

a 650 from corsair or some other company could handle crossfire 6870s. a 750W definitely.

Listen, all those parts you licked out are top class. Dont change anything.

Personally I would go for a a CM HAF 912 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119233 simply because it's the best case in that price range at keeping your components cool and has a ton load of features for the price, nothing else in that price range can compete and it's just $4 more than the one you picked. Granted the styling is not for everyone.

    Review here (PLUS VERSION) http://www.guru3d.com/article/cooler...2-plus-review/

2000mhz memory is very expensive right now and not worth the extra $$$ as the performance gain is minor. Stick with the kit you chose
