i'll just say if the pricing is right and the performance is good then it dosent really matter what brand is in the box ...as long as i get to play at the expected lvl.

its all well and good but they are missing the plot...amd has been constantly able to keep there upgrades available to gamers by the time nov comes around so we are able to upgrade b4 the big titles for the holidays are released.....neone planning to not play COD BO until the green team decides when they can tell us whats in the bag?
AMD pricing on the 6850 and 6870 are pretty decent!

So in short. This video card is quiet, but not as quiet as nvidia makes it out to be. it consumes way higher than 225watts. Consumes more power than a 5970. Still slower than a 5970.

i honestly think 3d gaming is a niche, its nice to know its there but its not like it makes your game fundamentally better plus its a substantial investment right now, i think its like $500 for the nvidia monitor and glasses

uhhm who cares about 3d gaming though? If it did matter, AMD(ati) would not be leading in market share.
