    Default Android Overclocking

What's your experience been with Android overclocking? How far did have you pushed your phone? What app did you use?

I'm running a Milestone at 1 GHz with 2.1. Very stable, minimal impact to battery life. Reports have Milestones going up to 1.2 GHz.

$1 app overclocks Droid X and Droid 2 processors to 1.3GHz
Want to overclock your Droid X or Droid 2 processor? There is an app for that already and it costs just 1 US dollar. It will allow you to speed up your CPU up to 1.3GHz.

The DX/D2 Overclocker allows you to set stock or lower-than-stock voltage, as well as two higher voltage options. The stock voltage gives you 1.1GHz speed, while the higher voltages allow 1.2 and 1.3GHz.

But is it safe? No, it isn’t. It may damage your device, so proceed with the download and usage at your own risk.

If you have a rooted Droid 2 or Droid X you can get the app from the Market or AppBrain.

Yeah I saw that. Luckily the app I used was free. I don't think I'll go up to 1.2 still, since this processor is 550 MHz out of the box.

I find that 1 GHz gives me speed without impacting battery life too badly. When I upgrade to the Nexus S maybe I'll go for 1.4
