Question Need a new gpu - Is PhysX necessary?

I'm thinking about getting the EVGA GeForce GTX460 Superclocked 1024 MB, but I wanna here what you guys think about physX. Does it make the experience better and is it worth it? If not, am I better off getting something else, if yes, what would you suggest? My main concerns are price, performance and power consumption.

PhysX does make the experience that much greater, go for it. Right now the 460 has a good price to performance ratio

Are you saying that you would trade your 5870 for a GTX460? Interesting... illogical but interesting.

Not trade sell and buy gtx 460 in SLI, being that my previous card was a 8800 Gtx i'm used to seeing the quality that PhysX provides and the ATI cards does not deliver those kind of graphics, i was planning on waiting to see what the 6 series cards can do to match up to that but if i get a sale between now and November i will sell it and go back to my 9400 gt (8800 is not working and i'm not doing much gaming right now) till the end of this year or just bill till the official launch 2011,

The plus side of it is that Nvidia runs DirectX 11 better than ATI at the moment and i don't worry about heat as my case Silverstone Rv02 deals with that wonderfully

You can actually Use an Nvidia card for Graphics processing and an older cheaper ATI say an X1300 series for physx.

Nvidia kinda slipped up with a recent driver, dont remember which exactly, that will allow you to run both brands simultaneously.

    just google it

    Found something

Mr Grim mi caan believe you have a 9400 lying around an a quarrel but Physx as KevinP said you can use the Ati card for graphics and the other for physx.
