    Default searching for network Blackberry 8220

    whenever i insert a sim card in the blackberry 8220 it keep on showing searching for network and this will go on for a while and then it would show "NO SERVICE" i have fill access to all the application/menu.
    what can i do to correct this problem

    Sounds like your sim card tray is damaged. It's either that or your sim card is not working. Try testing your sim card in another phone if it works it means your sim tray needs some technical assistance. Let us know where you're located so that we can recommend a technician closest to you

    hey bro, the sim card works fine in other phones, so i guess the problem is with the sim tray as suggested by you. i am located in the cross road area, so pls let me know where i can get it check out. thanks alot

    If you're in Portmore there is a really good Blackberry repair store that does full servicing but if you're in Kingston it's best to state your location so we can give you a close enough store to sort out your issues

    Try and do a manual search for the network, if your not able to find one its possible that your BB is either not opened or there may e an issue with the antenna. If its a latter then a reload of the OS may work provided its not a physical issue.
