prolly..........
i remember way back , every time i started Nero my pc wud bluescreen , i did some trouble shooting and guess what.. the culprit was 'Macafee antivirus'
I ditched it and nero ran smoothly, from that point i got wary of AV, and too due diligence when choosing.
btw.... avg and avira runs smoothly with each other
not getting into a which is better debate.
hey 8bit, run only one of those av that u have and see if u still have the problem
getz mine the fast way, ski-mask way...christopher wallace r.i.p.
try avira anti-virus
0N7Y GOD C@N JUDG3 M3!!!
i'm not stupid it's a freshly install system and i only install one of the av at a time, and right before i install any other software. i install the av right click on my computer a message comes up saying virus detected at C:\Windows\system 32\ some dll file i don't know and then i click the start button another message saying virus detected explorer.exe and avast deleted these files automatically without asking me if i want to or not.
conclusion: windows is a "virus!"
solution: stick to "fedora".
I think someone asked you this earlier but you didn't respond.
Are you using a legitimate copy of windows xp?

Confusious 400 BC.
hmm good question .....If its not a legit version id say get another...if it is...then i dont know...could be a mbr virus...or something to that effect....lol but i like the windows is a virus line....classic
Knowledge is just wasted time if not put to action

There was an issue some time back where AVG would find a virus on a machine and could not clean it. It would then delete the infected file in Windows which would render the OS unable to boot.
I would suggest using Avira for AV purposes bundled with Spybot and/or others for anti-spyware. If you want an AIO solution then go Avast or Bit Defender.

The issues should have been resolved, but it would seem that 8Bit has multiple partitions and one has the virus still, or he's using some CD/DVD which he burned after installation and it has an infected file.
The seriousness aside - it does seem like a case of pr0n or torrents/file sharing apps.
Knowing the solution doesn't mean knowing the method. Yet answering correctly and regurgitation are considered "learning" and "knowledge".
