never heard that before i know that u can only install one antivirus at a time i had Avg on my laptop and i tryed installing avast and it wont install its say that i have to uninstall avg first

So why would both anti-viruses be deleting your system files? Is your computer that infected? And how do you know it's the anti-virus that is doing it?
I am pretty positive there are options in both anti-viruses, that allows you to tell them what you want them to do if they encounter an infected file.
Sounds to me your system is infected.

I don't think the AVs are stupid as you suggest, perhaps effective in this case if anything. As A_A suggested, your system may be infected and if you did not do a full re-installation of XP, the threat would still be on the system. Did any of the AVs report why the DLLs were being deleted?
that's why i don't use those AVs, dem let go virus on my systems on many occasions, ever heard of Avira Antivir? that works perfectly for me, you should try it and get rid of the garbage
