So why would both anti-viruses be deleting your system files? Is your computer that infected? And how do you know it's the anti-virus that is doing it?

I am pretty positive there are options in both anti-viruses, that allows you to tell them what you want them to do if they encounter an infected file.

Sounds to me your system is infected.

I don't think the AVs are stupid as you suggest, perhaps effective in this case if anything. As A_A suggested, your system may be infected and if you did not do a full re-installation of XP, the threat would still be on the system. Did any of the AVs report why the DLLs were being deleted?

Stop blame di anti-virus. Blame di user! If you keep downloading torrents for illegal music or apps, or visiting porn sites or opening email attachments, etc., you bound to get infected! Anti-viruses are like condoms, they won't protect you 100% from AIDS!

+1 on that A_A, one's knowledge start from experience. I once had similar problems but over time I learned not to do what A_A mentioned above. Now I can afford to run a system without A/V and not have an issue.

    Porn....
