questions:
1. How much more ram did each new OS version need compared to the previous?
Well i have a Magic and im running 2.1 and it can run 2.2 so ram matters but for right now not so much unless you have like a G1 which has just a tiny amount of ram
2. What is the demand on processor between each iteration i.e. does you device seem to struggle more doing tasks on newer OS versions?
Not really I know in 2.1 it will basically manage the allocation of resources so if u have something running in the background it will be using zero resources
3. How much internal NAND memory does each newer OS need? Did they require more?
i'm sure they do but seeing as how almost everyone runs a custom rom then its really not an issue
4. How does top end phones like the nexus 1 handles heavy multitasking i.e. Pc style browsing(6-10 tabs open), music player left running, file manager open, a video player in the background, several IM apps in the background.
My magic handles all those things quite well i sometimes lose track of open webpages accross my various apps but my phone never seems to slow down, youtube is beautiful and i always have several apps running at any given time
I need this info, thanks in advance.
I hope you have found what i had to say helpful and i hope u join the droid revolution
