    im pretty sure any hard drive will work as long as it can fit, i just never knew that one above 500 was out on the market, i read that toshiba released a 750 gig and a 1 TB hard drive, however iv not seen any reports of people using drives that size yet. maybe because the price is high but who knows

    640 does work, I am rocking a 640 in my ps3 slim right now!
