I have one of the flourescent tubes, that on certain occasions i swap out with the usual one. Works rather well, inherited it from my brother when he got married. If you don't have one , get one.......

I am assuming the tube uses a different socket from the usual bulb, or does it come with its own socket?
Anyway if not mi still need fi know where to find to bulb that can go int a normal socket (if thats posibble).
The tube goes into the socket similar to the ones found in an office. You always change over the original socket to the tube version.

yeah mine is the same as the short straight tubes, no tools necessary
