I must say that this is the first NFS game I've been excited about in a while. I'm glad that they're getting back to their roots with an impressive remake/refresh of the Hot Pursuit series.

Dunno how long the demo has been out but I turned on my 360 Tuesday and saw the demo available for download. @ 1.4GBs I was expecting it to be a bit longer but it is called a demo. Anyways I liked the 1st setup though short. Puts you as a Cadet in the SPF in a 370z I think to chase down rogue midnight racers. Winning gives you points and I guess allows you to lv up to a higher rank and get better cars etc using driving techs and other stuff. The 2nd part of the demo puts you as a speeder dodging cops mid-race. Haven't been able to play this part yet as no one on ma XBL friends list has bothered to download it, which is a requirement to inlock that part of the demo. Maybe not interested? This drops next month and I like what I see...

Yeah they even start advertising the game on tv. Release date in the ad says November 16 so it's pretty close to full release.

Played the demo, and I'm pretty confident I won't be cancelling my amazon preorder after playing that. Autolog is the best online feature I've seen in a racing game that's all I going say. I also have a couple friends that had the demo downloaded and took on their challenges and beat some while some others set some records that don't even think I can come close to as yet. That said the extra race was unlocked for me immediately and @Shadow no that race doesn't have cops it's just a standard race to the finish line.

My only gripes with this game is that since it's going back to it's hot pursuit route there will be no free roam nor car customization from the Underground series (or even Burnout: Paradise). I can live with that as long as it doesn't suck like recent NFS games since Most Wanted I guess, cause the demo was undoubtedly fun.

I cant wait to take on this new NFS game, the last NFS Shift was ok too, but Undercover and Pro Street were total bull, what were they thinking? My system is ready and waiting also for Test Drive Unlimited 2, Call of Duty Black Ops and Crysis 2. GAME ON!!
