    Default Your Xbox Power Cord Can Be a Fire Hazard

    Microsoft is recalling power cords on 14.1 million Xbox game consoles worldwide because the cords may pose a fire hazard, the company said today.

    An electrical component failure can cause the Xbox cord to overheat and emit smoke. In 30 consoles worldwide, the problem has caused minor injury or property damage. In 7 instances, users reported a burn to their hands. In 23 instances, customers reported smoke damage or damage to a carpet or entertainment center, Microsoft said in a statement.

    Thanks for this update. This is important information.
    Free Thinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, beliefs for privileges. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking; where it is absent, discussion is apt to become worse than useless.

    i would guest its the adapter.
    The wire will show instand heating result but the adapter wouldnt.
    they wouldnt be stupid enough to use a small guage wire if there test shows that it is heating.

    I realize I am being a b!tch but you are missing the bigger picture.
    I make many mistakes too but it would not take much time to read over your post
    before you submit it. Sure a few mistakes is not the end of the world but the fact that
    it does not bother him is what I noticed.

    Pogi_2nr really is a female dog (you did admit it)...don't what his problem is but studies have shown mr. pogi_2nr that the brain can pick up word even if its spelt incorrectly/ the letters have been arranged incorrectly just as long as the first and last letters are in the same place. While his "there" is the incorrect form of the word, nevertheless we all understand and forgive him for his typing error. Please don't slander individuals.

    Now in response to the post;

    Poor Microsoft....lol.....always giving problems....a bug in the power cord so now you gotta "UPDATE" it.....LOL.....imagine if they DID make cars????
