Default Linux Dev CD & RH7.3

I have created a Linux Developers CD and a RedHat 7.3 CD set which i have delivered to Chris
(donavon_campbell will have it soon, i am told) .The developers CD has the following :-

    PHPnuke(CMS...Php based ...duhh)
    Slash-2.2.6 (ie slashdot CMS....perl based)
    PHP 4.2.2(Web development)
APC (another PHP Cache ...speed up php pages x4)
    Postgresql(powerful and fast RDBMS 9MB)
    SAPdb(powerful RDBMS 80MB v7.3)
    PHPMYadmin(mysql web frontend)
    PHPPgadmin(postgresql web frontend)
    IBMJSDK3(IBMs very fast JDK)
Kylix3_trial(112MB Demo but you will like it ,read thanks.html)
MYsql 4.0.2(12MB DBMS try the query caching...very cool)
    nmap3(portscanner ,network auditor)
    Interchange(Ecommerce...very powerful needs Postgresql)
    kdevelop(c/c++ IDE and more)
    qt3+qt-pg +qt-mysql(qt3 and db interfaces)
    quanta (homesite like webdevelopment)
    gimp........and much more :-)

The ReHat 7.3 will have other packages (perl and python/zope) and allow you to install the Developer CD packages flawlessly.
For ecommerce deveolpers out there ,try Interchange (If you need help developing or deploying ,email me) while it can use Postgresql it can also use a basic flat file (don't use this option).
Sapdb is there for those who need it (It has a Oracle compatability mode to ease migration...see pdfs).
For those ever having problems compiling Apache and various mods or making it work with php and other complex configs, try Apachetoolbox (it can also build rpms). When next i am in Ja. I will try to get other applications/distros that you may want.
I recommend that those using linux download and install kernel 2.4.19 you will find it more stable than 2.4.7 or 2.4.18 that came with previous versions of RH.
    -Kurt
P.s. Please try to get kde-3.0.3 it is very stable and fast + it has some important fixes not found on the Redhat CD.

Yes, I have it. Can't reach Donovan (JALUG President), he seems to be on vacation. 8) In the time being, if anyone is interested, give a holla and we'll see what we can do.

I'll take a redhat thanx. see how many you people could make available by the JaLUG general meeting next saturday.

Place a charge on it for your CDs and time.
